Obituary

A memorial service will be held for Anthony Wayne Boykin Saturday, February 12th at 12:30pm at Suqualena United Methodist Church.

Tony Boykin, 69, passed away on Sunday, February 6th, 2022 in Houston, Texas after a valiant battle with cancer.

Tony dedicated 40 years of his life as a Federal and Military firefighter. Once retired, Tony enjoyed traveling to the coast for car shows, relaxing with friends at Dalewood, and spoiling his best fur baby, Jazzy. AND let’s not forget deer hunting..his passion.

He was an active member of Suqualena United Methodist Church in Suqualena. He also had quite a following online where he shared God’s word most every morning.

Tony was loved by all and adored by his wife.

Tony is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Bonnie Boykin; a brother, Donnie Boykin; and a sister, Sandia Butler.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Carol Moffett Boykin; two sons, Randall Boykin and Ryan Boykin (Meghan); stepson, Justin Gossett (Heather); stepdaughter, Chlee Lisi (Nick); 9 grandchildren; a sister, Donna Flanagan (W.T.); a host of nieces and nephews; and last but definitely not least, his beloved puppygirl, Jazzy.

Although it is hard to let go, we are comforted in knowing he is whole again in the presence of The Lord.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that you take a moment to do a good deed or act of kindness in Tony’s memory.
