NGAMS Scholarship

Updates to the NGAMS Scholarship for the 2025-2026 award year

First, thank you for your patience as the Board of Directors conducted a review of the program and decided to make changes for the current award year.

After thorough review of the NGAM scholarship program, the Board of Directors voted to make changes to the program to ensure the continuation of the program and to positively impact as many NGAMS members as possible. The scholarship program changes include:

  1. Each year, the board of directors will determine the amount of budget available for scholarship awards.
  2. Based on the amount available, the scholarship committee will recommend to the board of directors the number and amounts of each scholarship category
  3. Scholarships will be offered on a single year basis with individuals able to receive up to a maximum of two scholarship awards during a lifetime
  4. All scholarships previously awarded under the program will continue as awarded until completed.
  5. For the 2025-2026 award year, NGAMS will award a total of Twelve (12) $2,000 dollar scholarships.

What is the NGAMS Scholarship?

As our mission statement reads, the National Guard Association of Mississippi exists to foster and support the role of the National Guard in Mississippi and the National Guard of the United States in providing for and assuring the military security of our Nation. To maintain our success we must continue to support and educate our Service members and their families as they are the future of the Mississippi National Guard. To assist in that endeavor we have created the National Guard Association of Mississippi Scholarship Foundation.
