The NGAMS has continued to listen to the issues important to our Servicemembers and their families in an effort to protect their ability to serve our citizens while simultaneously care for their families and function as leaders in their communities. Immediately after the 2015 Mississippi Legislative Session and 2015 NGAMS Annual Conference, the outgoing and newly appointed members of the NGAMS Legislative Committee met to review the past year and map out a plan for the 2016 session. That effort has continued each year since that time. Through the efforts of the Legislative Committee, the members of the NGAMS, the legislative liaison to the Adjutant General and our leadership in the Mississippi Legislature we are very happy that that many important proposals have passed and been signed into law. We thank all those involved for their tireless efforts and their concerns for the well-being of our men and women in uniform.
