Funeral services for Mr. James Gerald Branning will be held at 3 PM Sunday, November 8, 2020 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John Branning and Rev. Johnny Peden officiating. Interment in Branning Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Saturday, November 7th at John E. Stephens Chapel. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Branning, 86, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He has lived in Sandtown Community most of his life. He was a member of the National Guard, retired Justice Court Judge, retired member of Neshoba Central School Board and a cattle farmer. His favorite hobby was gardening. He was a member of Sandtown United Methodist Church.

Mr. Branning is survived by his wife, Blanche Marie Benson Branning; Daughters, Geraldine Jayroe (Tam) and Alesia Myers (Larry); Foster Son, Frannie Lewis; Sister, Connie Walters; Sister-in-law, Linda Branning all of Philadelphia; (8) Grandchildren, Lindsey, Meagan, Hailey, Jay, Morgan, Olivia, Jessie and Anna; (12) Great-Grandchildren;
Several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Branning was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie Alfred and Tina Townsend Branning; Brothers, Rev. Joe Branning, Rev. Stanley Barnett and Ross Barnett; Special cousins, Wood and Alma May.

Pallbearers: Thomas Tinsley, Tyler Hardy, Steven Saunders, Matt Nicholson, Wesley Jenkins, Joe Shuler, Jimmy Cox and Jimmy “Bebo” Ward.
