1932 ~ 2018

John Craymon “Boot’s” Bullock passed into his eternal life on Sunday, July 15, 2018.

He now joins his loved ones who preceded him – his beloved wife, Helen Henley Bullock; his son, John Craymon ‘Zeke’ Bullock, Jr.; his parents, Craymon John and Lural Bullock; and brother, William Anthony ‘Billy’ Bullock.

Boots was born on August 22, 1932 in St. Martin and was a 1950 graduate of St. Martin High School. After high school he joined the Mississippi Army National Guard where he served in Germany. After his military tour, he came back home for higher studies. He attended Perkinston Junior College, University of Southern Mississippi and went on to receive his Master’s degree in Math at Mississippi State University. In 1978 he returned to the National Guard, serving with the 138th Supply and Service Battalion until retirement.

His early career started out teaching Math and Coaching Basketball at East Central and Vancleave High Schools, and a brief stint at Ocean Springs High School. After a few great years of teaching and inspiring his students, he left teaching to pursue a career in computer programming in Texas. In 1967 he relocated back to the gulf coast to be close to family and for a position at Ingalls. He worked there until his retirement in 1994. Throughout his life he was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing, hunting and golfing with his many friends.

Survivors include his sister, Barbara Ann Sekul; his son, Will Bullock; his daughter Connie Webb; and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who he loved dearly.

Services will be held Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior. Interment will follow at Bosarge Cemetery.
