Jimmie Ray Hoda, Senior Master Sergeant, Retired, U.S. Air Force, age 79, of Kiln, MS, passed away, Thursday, October 24, 2019.

Jimmie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was the best husband a wife could want. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for over 55 years. His whole passion in life, other than his family, was recruiting young people into the military. He was a charter member of Fr. Alexander C. Denis Council 7087, a charter member of Olander Shiyou Assembly 3464, a member of Bay St. Louis American Legion 139, a member of Misfits Cruisers, and a member of the Jaycees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Aline (Necaise) Hoda; his brother, Lionel Hoda.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Susan (Favre) Hoda; his sons, Jeff (Samantha) Hoda and Christopher Hoda; his grandchildren, Ashley, Brittney, Brooke, Jessica, Michael, Justin, Bailey, Dylan and Jayden; his great grandchildren, David, Drake, McKinnley, Anistyn, Emerie, Cain, Stetson; his sister, Betty Jean Necaise; and his brothers, Joseph and Richard Hoda.

Visitation will be Monday, October 28, 2019, from 6:00-9:00pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 9113 Kiln Delisle Rd, Pass Christian. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at 11:00am, with a visitation 9:00-11:00am. Interment will follow at Bayou Coco Cemetery, Kiln, MS.
