Henry Tobe “H.T.” Harrell

Brandon, MS – H.T., age 77, passed away on August 31 at home after a long illness. Funeral services will be held 2 pm Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS with interment in Floral Hills Memory Gardens in Pearl, MS. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11 am-2 pm at the funeral home.

He grew up in the Pisgah community where he met his wife Carolyn (Renfroe) of 55 years. They later moved to Canton, where he served as a city alderman, a deacon of Center Terrace Church and was an active member of the community.

He served his country in the National Guard as a sergeant in the military police.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn, two sons; Barry (Tammy, and step-daughter Makena), Ty (Stacy) and H.T.’s “Best Buddy”, Houston, his grandson.

He is also survived by his brothers; Paul, Talmadge, Charlie and one sister, Dottie Merchant (Mark).

H.T. will be forever remembered by all the Harrell’s and Renfroe’s for his love of family, for his funny joke lines, for his great hats and for his great love for each of them.
