Robert Lawrence Fayard passed away unexpectantly on Friday, October 25, 2019 at the age of 88.

Born on August 11, 1931 in Biloxi, MS to Alice Asaline Page and Daniel Richard Fayard Jr, Robert began this journey called life. He graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1950. He served in the United States Army and then in the National Guard serving until he retired in 1991 after 33 years of service. He married Mary Bond on December 12, 1954. On a Christmas morning in 1957 God blessed them with a son, Dwight, and what a gift he was. Robert worked with the Jackson County Sheriffs Department retiring in 1996. He enjoyed carpentry work and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and American Legion and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Percy Roy Fayard and Daniel R. Fayard III; two sisters, Veronica Fayard Rushing and Jean Manuel.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Delia Fayard of Pascagoula; a son Dwight Nathan Fayard and his wife Nancy of Ellisville, MS; two grandchildren Amanda Davenport (Joshua) and Dwight Nathan Fayard II (Adrian); great grandchildren, Nixon Ryder Davenport, Brooklyn and Denym Toombs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews whom he helped raise.
