Mr. Philip Alldread, 70, of Duck Hill, passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019 in Daphne, AL. He was born January 5, 1949 in Montgomery County to Benjamin Franklin and Lucille Bennett Alldread. He had worked for many years as a machine operator at Heatcraft in Grenada. He also had retired after a long career with the Mississippi National Guard with the rank of Master Sergeant. An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Philip served as Treasurer for the MAC(Motorcycle Awareness Campaign) and was also a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at McKibben and Guinn Funeral Service with Rev. John Goldwater officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at the North Mississippi Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Kilmichael. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday evening and one hour prior to the service Tuesday all at McKibben and Guinn.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Alldread of Duck Hill; one daughter, Rachel Alldread Holland(Eddie) of Grenada; one son, Christopher Lee Alldread of Grenada; two step-daughters, Jerrica Nahwooksy of Grenada and Wendy Lufton of Hattiesburg; two step-sons, Jimi Smith of Holcomb and Jamie Humphrey of Hattiesburg; two sisters, Martha Greenslade of Germantown and Ellen Stafford of Winona; two brothers, Doyle Alldread of Elliott and Sam Alldread of Duck Hill; three grandchildren, Megan Rester, Alison Holland and Josh Alldread; and nine step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ed Alldread.
