Reuben Charles Lee, affectionately known as LC, was born August 31, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. He was born to Reverend Robert C. and Mary Lee. He fell asleep in death Friday, April 9, 2021 in Terry, Mississippi.

Reuben grew up in Jackson, MS, where he attended Smith Robertson Elementary, Rowan Middle School, and Lanier High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Jackson State University. He served in the Military Air Force and later the Air National Guard in the Angus Division for a total of 37 years of service. He achieved the rank of Senior Master Sergeant and was awarded an Armed Forces Reserve Medal with a “M” device and a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Reuben was honorably discharged in 2007. He worked many jobs throughout his adulthood creating an impeccable reputation for his work ethic and dedication retiring from BellSouth, now known as AT&T after 30 years of employment; retiring from Walmart after more than 20 years and also working 19 years as a tax professional for H&R Block.

LC enjoyed watching and playing sports and traveling the world with his wife Jewel. He also loved working with numbers and was technologically savvy. He loved to crack a joke and get the young babies of the family to smile.

Reuben dedicated his life to Jehovah God in July of 2017. He faithfully served Jehovah until the end of his life. We all look forward to seeing him again in paradise!

He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mary Lee, three children: Reuben Jr. (Tameka) Lee, Cheryl (Kirk) McDaniel, and Rodney Lee; three grandchildren: McKenna, Madeline, and Kevin “one very special grandson whom he raised,” and most assuredly he leaves his loving wife, Jewelean Williams-Lee to cherish the wonderful memories they created. Reuben was the eldest of nine children. Three of his siblings have preceded him in death: Troy, Wilburn and King Lee. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces and nephews from his siblings, three sisters: Gloria Loggins (Rufus), Verma Lofton (Floyd), and Vivian McDuffie (Tony); and two brothers: Larry Lee (Evon) and Jerry Lee.
